bymark

Earlier today, K texted me saying she had Winterlicious reservations to Bymark because the person she was supposed to go with ended up having to back out. I didn't want to pass up a good meal so I obviously said yes :)

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and dimly lit, which gave off a very romantic vibe. It would definitely be a super cute date place!

Baguette + butter: K's fave combo

Here's what we started off with -
Parsnip Purée with Spot Prawns
chili & coriander cress

Lamb Sausage & Roasted Variegated Carrots
minted ricotta, blood orange segments & dill vinagrette

Our mains -
Braised Veal Tortellini
celery root purée, gorgonzola, walnut & mâche

Cobia Filet
crusted w/ bread crumbs & rosemary, roasted sunchokes, preserved lemon, sweet onion espuma

Last but definitely not least, dessert -
Pumpkin Spice Cake w/ Caramel Ice Cream
and salted caramel sauce

Chocolate Mousse w/ Earl Grey Shortbread
and mixed berry coulis

It was a deeelicious meal, and I definitely want to check out Mark McEwen's other restaurants now!
